Calvin Harris<\/a> is back behind the mic for the first time in seven years in his new single, “SMOKE THE PAIN AWAY.”<\/p>\n

Known for lending his own vocals to generational dance hits like “Feel So Close” (2011), “Summer” (2014), “My Way” (2016) and “I Found You” (2018), the chart-topping producer took a step back from singing in recent years. His comeback, however, is nothing short of captivating.<\/p>\n

Harris this week surprised fans with the release of “SMOKE THE PAIN AWAY,”\u00a0 a unique blend of country and house music with a folksy twang. Layered with acoustic guitar riffs, harmonica patterns and his signature raspy vocals, the track builds into a euphoric chorus driven by a pulsing bassline.<\/p>\n

Harris also recently debuted a rugged mountain-man aesthetic, fully embracing this new sonic direction and its folk-inspired style. And while it’s certainly a departure, it still has tinctures of that nostalgic, unmistakable, dopamine-fueled Harris sound.<\/p>\n
